Anneliese Louise van der Pol was born in Holland. She is an American performer, actor as well as film director. Van der Pol recorded R&B/pop renditions of The Lion King's Circle of Life, and Cinderella's Dream Is a Wish You Make for the special edition release of the films featuring The Disney Channel Circle of Stars. She recorded a rendition of the Disney classic Candle on the Water, from Pete's Dragon in 2006 for the issue Disneymania. A Change in Me the most well-known song on Belle van der Pol's Broadway musical soundtrack, was written by her due to the role she played as Belle van der Pol.
